EA-Games are bringing out the big guns to once and for all show who's boss.

With the entirely new game engine: "Frostbite" Battlefield have never looked better. There has been put huge amounts of work into every single aspect of the game, from lighting, animation, effects to story telling. 


Lead designers of Battlefield have even told Game Informer that this game has been designed to outmatch Modern Warfare 3 - Infinity Wards major blockbuster scheduled to release around the same time af Battlefield 3 - 


This is very brave words considering the succes of the Modern Warfare franchise, but by the looks of things it might just be possible.


Take a look at this screen shot from one of the gameplay trailers. Firstly look at  the light coming from the sun and the way it is reflecting onto the body of the tanks.


Frostbite 2.0 > Cry Engine 3

Secondly look at the tanks shadows the anti aliasing - smoothness of the edges - is incredible for shadows. There is also a lot of nice looking plants on the ground giving the landscape a very realistic and nice look


If i were to pick a favorite it would without a doubt be Battlefield 3, luckily i won't have to since i'm getting both.

Simon and Lewis - The Yogscast in real life

After a good year of faithful watching, we finally get to see their real faces Doing mostly " let's plays ", and " gaming commentary " Simon and Lewis of the Yogscast, hasn't shown their faces that much in their videos or on the web altogether. We've seen a couple of photos and one specifically hilarious video of Simons reaction to DeadMau5's Jaffa cake rant But then something amazing happende: Gamescom! Mojang Specifications, contacted Simon and Lewis, and asked them to fill in for them at the Sony Ericsson Experia Play Booth. And thankfully they said yes! So theres a whole set of 7-10 videos of them running around Gamescom "trying" to be all professional. But heck they did even get a proper interview done! Randomly Generated Desert Tomb in Minecraft Snapshot Week 21

I was playing around in a desert and found this tomb next to a village! The Village The Tomb Right Next to it The Orange Wool was what caught my attention You need to dig to find the entrance Wool and sandstone pattern found in the tomb The "entrance hall" Following the corridor to a larger room Wierd pattern on the floor Back view of the room The Room has a hole in the  sealin g When destroying the Blue wool a shaft is revealed Quite a fall A suspicious Pressure plate The rigged trap, if this doesn't kill you there are some fine loot for you The hole in the top I decided to do an archaeological dig to see how it looks. Turns out its a pyramid with two towers take a look! I'm now sure is the orange is supposed to be symbols, but it could look like an Egyptian ankh
